The technical team at Wave have been involved with SunSystems deployments and upgrades from the very early days of SunSystems 3.5, the first version 4 releases 4.2.6, the initial version 5 release, 5.1 and up to and including all SunSystems version 6 releases to version 6.4.
Wave have had involvement over the years with the very early Microsoft Windows server Operating System deployments using Microsoft Windows server 2000 and Microsoft SQL server 2000 up to the more recent Microsoft deployments installing onto Microsoft Windows server 2019 and Microsoft SQL server 2019.
A more recent technical project
An existing, though rare deployment, Wave were asked to upgrade a SunSystems 5.1 instance on SQL 2000 to SunSystems 6.4 on Windows 2019 and SQL 2019. This involved a 3 stage upgrade jump from very dated Microsoft operating systems, both Windows and SQL server, to the latest versions.
Using our comprehensive range of Virtual Test environments, our technical teams were able to utilise these to manipulate existing data and upgrade step by step through supported operating systems for the intermediate SunSystems versions, to the current Windows operating systems supported by the more recent SunSystems versions.
This particular deployment consisted of a large group of combined entities who were being split out into single organisations once again. This involved splitting out all of the other Business Units & Databases, leaving the single required entities on separate deployments. Wave have extensive experience in upgrading Q & A (formerly known as Vision) reports to the most recent Q & A 11 deployment. We have comprehensive Microsoft Reporting Services report writing experience which was introduced from SunSystems version 6.1 upwards.
